Glide is a macOS menu bar companion app that listens when you hold a keyboard shortcut, sees your screen, thinks with AI, and speaks answers back while pointing at on-screen elements. It can also connect to external apps like Notion, Gmail, and Slack to take actions on your behalf.
How It Works
You download Glide from the internet and install it on your Mac like any other app.
A friendly window appears introducing you to your new AI companion that lives in your menu bar.
You allow Glide to use your microphone, see your screen, and listen for your voice shortcut so it can help you.
You connect your Google account so Glide knows it's you and can access your connected apps securely.
Whenever you hold these two keys, Glide wakes up, listens to what you say, and takes a quick picture of your screen.
Your AI companion reads your screen, thinks about what you asked, and speaks an answer back to you.
Glide highlights buttons, menus, and other parts of your screen to guide you visually
Glide can create Notion pages, send emails, update documents, and more in the apps you've connected
Glide quietly waits in your menu bar, ready to help whenever you hold Control+Option to start a conversation.
