xPoster is a free Chrome extension that helps people write long-form articles for X (formerly Twitter) using their preferred Markdown editor. Instead of wrestling with X's built-in editor, users write their content in Markdown first, then import it into X Articles with one click. The extension handles the conversion of headings, paragraphs, images, tables, and tweet embeds. It never auto-publishes—users always review and click X's own Publish button. Everything stays local in your browser with no backend, no analytics, and no account required.
How It Works
Using your favorite text editor, you write and format your long-form article with headings, images, and links just the way you like it.
One click adds the extension to your browser. No account needed, no settings to configure, no keys to copy.
Navigate to X's article composer, then open xPoster's side panel where you can paste your Markdown or load your file.
Your Markdown transforms into X-friendly content. Headings become headings, images upload, tables turn into pictures, and tweet links embed properly.
Your article is ready to go. Click X's own Publish button when you're satisfied.
Replace broken image links, adjust formatting, or retry the import. xPoster never publishes for you.
You clicked Publish, and your carefully crafted article now reaches your readers on X. The whole process respects your privacy and keeps you in full control.
