GHFS is a macOS menu bar app that turns selected GitHub repositories into read-only folders in Finder by cloning them on demand.
How It Works
Get the GHFS app from GitHub and drag it to your Applications folder.
Click the GHFS icon in your menu bar to start the welcome guide.
Connect your GitHub account so GHFS can see your repositories.
Choose which of your repositories you want to see as folders.
Pick a folder like ~/ghfs where your repos will appear.
Turn on the GHFS helper in System Settings so it can create the folders.
Click Mount and open the folder in Finder to see your repos appear like local files.
Your GitHub repositories are now folders you can browse, with files downloading in the background.
