houstontxguy / Logger-Utility
PublicNative macOS app for viewing unified system logs. Real-time streaming, historical queries, filtering, and export — built with SwiftUI.
A macOS app that offers a user-friendly graphical interface for real-time and historical system log viewing, advanced filtering, exporting, and AI-assisted explanations.
How It Works
You find Logger Utility, a simple app for peeking at your Mac's hidden activity logs, and download the ready-to-use file from the releases page.
Drag the app to your Applications folder, open it, and follow the prompts to allow it full access to logs in your System Settings.
Start seeing new logs appear as your Mac works, like watching a river flow.
Set a time range like the last hour and pull up old logs to review what happened.
Search, filter by app or type, and click entries to see full details – it feels easy and fast even with thousands of lines.
Right-click any log line, choose Ask AI, and it whisks a perfect question to your browser's AI chat – paste and get a plain-English explanation instantly.
Export the logs as a simple file to review later or send to support.
With the clear explanation, you understand the problem, make the fix, and your Mac hums along happily ever after.
