KaproVPN is a free, open-source VPN client for Windows, macOS, and Linux that routes your internet traffic through proxy servers while letting you choose which websites always use your real IP address (like banking sites). It supports multiple proxy protocols, imports servers from subscription links, and includes privacy features like a kill-switch and leak protection.
How It Works
You download the installer for your operating system and install it on your computer. The setup creates a shortcut in your Start Menu.
On first launch, a friendly welcome screen asks if you have a subscription link, a single server address, or need help finding a provider.
You paste your subscription URL to import all servers at once, or paste a single server link like vless://... to add just one. You give it a friendly name like 'My VPN'.
You pick between two modes: 'Browser only' (works right away, no admin needed) or 'Full system' (tunnels everything including games and Telegram, needs admin rights). You also edit your 'direct sites' list for banks and services that need your real IP.
You hit the big CONNECT button. KaproVPN downloads the necessary components, sets up the secure tunnel, and shows you your new virtual IP address and country.
Everything works normally but through your secure tunnel. Russian services on your direct list still see your real IP. You see live speed stats and can check for any privacy leaks anytime.
Your internet traffic is encrypted and routed through your VPN server. If the connection drops, the kill-switch blocks all traffic until you reconnect — your real IP never leaks.
