PublicRun grok agents on one machine, drive them from any device on your tailnet. Live web UI speaking ACP directly to grok agent stdio.
grok-remote is a community-built web dashboard that lets you run Grok AI agent conversations from anywhere on your network. You install it once on your computer (macOS or Linux), and it creates a personal AI assistant hub that works on any deviceβphone, tablet, or laptop. You can run multiple conversations at once, attach images, browse files the AI creates, and everything persists even if you restart your computer. The project is free, open-source, and not affiliated with xAI or Grok.
How It Works
Your tech-savvy friend mentions they've been running AI conversations from their phone using a web dashboard on their home computer.
A simple installer checks your computer has everything needed, then sets up the server and a shortcut called 'gr' that you can type from anywhere.
Just you, on this machine. Quick setup, no extra accounts.
Connect through Tailscale VPN. Open your conversations from your phone, tablet, or any computer on your network.
Chrome (or your default browser) launches and shows your new AI assistant dashboard. Everything is ready.
A fresh AI assistant appears. You type your first message and watch the thinking stream live in your browser. Tool calls, responses, everything shows up in real-time.
You drag an image into the chat composer. The assistant can see it and answers your question about what's in the picture.
On your iPhone, you open the same URL through your VPN. Your conversation continues right where you left off. The assistant remembers everything.
From your laptop at home or your phone on the go, you can start new conversations, pick up old ones, and everything stays saved on your computer.
