IntuneWin Downloader is a troubleshooting tool for IT administrators who manage Windows computers through Microsoft Intune. When an original installer file is lost but the app is still deployed to devices, this tool lets admins browse the apps their company provides, download and extract the package files that the device is already authorized to receive, review the installer commands and metadata, and run local test installations to verify everything works. It uses the normal company app catalog and Intune client flow to retrieve content—no special access is granted. The tool runs entirely on the local computer and doesn't send data anywhere else.
How It Works
As an IT admin, you realize the original installer files for a company app are gone, but the app is still deployed to devices.
The tool connects to your Company's app catalog and shows all the Win32 apps your device is allowed to receive.
You see app icons, names, versions, and who's published them. You check the box next to the app you want to recover.
The tool downloads the app package, decrypts it, and extracts everything to a folder on your computer.
The tool saves the installer, setup commands, and useful information about the package in organized folders.
Run the installer in your current user account to see the interface
Run the installer the way Intune would run it, in the background
The app installer is now available for use, and you've verified it works correctly on your test device.
