LiteNote is a lightweight desktop widget application that combines a clock display (with lunar calendar) and a simple to-do list. Users can quickly add tasks, set priorities with color coding, pin important items, and receive reminders for due dates. The app integrates with the system tray, supports global keyboard shortcuts to show/hide the window, and offers customization options like transparency and language preferences. It's designed for people who want a minimal, always-accessible note-taking tool without the overhead of a full productivity suite.
How It Works
You find LiteNote, a small desktop widget that sits on your screen showing the time and letting you manage quick notes.
The app downloads and installs, adding a small icon to your system tray where it quietly waits for you.
With one keyboard shortcut, the widget appears on your screen. You can hide it the same way whenever you need it out of the way.
You click Add and type 'Pick up groceries' - the item appears instantly in your list with a clean, minimal look.
You color-code items to show what needs immediate attention.
You pick a due date and get a notification when it's time.
Important items stay at the top of your list until you unpin them.
You open settings to adjust the window transparency, hide the clock section, or switch between Chinese and English.
The widget stays with you throughout the day - visible when you need it, hidden when you don't, with all your tasks organized and reminders ready.
