SaturnXIII / Dead-Reckoning-Pro
PublicA GPS-free navigation app for Android (BETA) that uses pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) to track your position when GPS is unavailable. Built with Android, OSMDroid, and sensor fusion algorithms.
An open-source Android app for GPS-free navigation using phone sensors, step counting, and map markers.
How It Works
You find a handy navigation tool for places where GPS doesn't work, like indoors or tunnels.
Download and install the app on your Android phone—it asks for location and motion permissions to work its magic.
Walk a short distance to calibrate your step length so the app knows how far you move with each step.
Tap the start button and watch your path draw on the map using your phone's built-in sensors.
Add fun emoji markers to important locations and rotate the map to match your direction.
Switch to sensor-only mode with turn buttons when signals drop, keeping your path accurate.
Save trips, view history, and export paths to share or use in other mapping apps—navigate freely anywhere!
