LyoSU / hortay-android
PublicA Twitter-style reader for Telegram channels. Built on TDLib + Jetpack Compose + Material 3 Expressive. No analytics, no Firebase, no third-party push.
Hortay is an Android app that transforms your Telegram channel subscriptions into a single, Twitter-style chronological feed. It offers two ways to use it: signing in with your Telegram account for full access to all your subscribed channels, or browsing public channels anonymously without an account. The app renders posts with full media support including photos, videos, polls, reactions, and animated stickers. It prioritizes privacy by avoiding Firebase, analytics, and third-party tracking. Available in English and Ukrainian, the app is open source under the GPL-3.0 license.
How It Works
Instead of jumping between different channels in Telegram, you want everything in one easy-to-scroll timeline.
The app is available on the Play Store, or you can build it yourself from the source code on GitHub.
Connect your account using your phone number and verify with a code.
Read any public channel without creating an account or signing in.
Posts from all your subscribed channels merge into a single chronological timeline, newest first.
Photos, videos, polls, reactions, and custom emoji all render beautifully inline. You can tap to view comments on any post.
Choose between newest-first or oldest-unread-first ordering, enable snap scrolling, adjust auto-download settings, and pick your language (English or Ukrainian).
No ads, no distractions, no tracking. Just you and your Telegram content in a beautiful reader.
