This is a free, open-source project that transforms the popular note-taking app Obsidian into a personal dashboard. Instead of seeing a blank or plain homepage, users get a customizable command center with modules for greeting messages, habit tracking, fitness logging, diary entries, year progress visualization, and more. The project uses only the free Dataview plugin and automatically adapts to any Obsidian theme or color scheme the user already has. All data is stored locally in simple text files that can be synced across devices.
How It Works
You've been using Obsidian to organize your thoughts, but the default homepage feels plain and uninspiring.
Someone shares a project that transforms your plain homepage into a personal command center with greetings, habit tracking, and more.
The dashboard comes with 14 different building blocks: a greeting that says good morning, habit trackers, gym logs, diary entries, and even a year progress bar.
You install one free Obsidian plugin called Dataview and turn on a simple setting. Everything else works automatically.
Check off daily habits and watch your streaks grow with colorful heatmaps
Record gym sessions, weight, and minutes trained over time
Keep daily notes about sleep, weight, and focus with a simple form
Every time you open Obsidian, you see a beautiful homepage that shows your progress, greets you warmly, and helps you stay on track with your goals.
