YabomishIM is a macOS keyboard input method for the Boshiamy system, enabling users to type Chinese characters using phonetic codes with customizable candidate selection panels.
How It Works
You hear about Yabomish, a handy Mac tool that makes typing Chinese characters quick and easy using simple sound codes.
Download the setup folder from the sharing site and find a Chinese word list file called liu.cin to add.
Put the liu.cin word list into your personal folder so the tool knows all the characters.
Run the easy setup helper – it prepares everything and asks for permission to add it to your Mac's keyboard tools.
Open your Mac's system settings, go to keyboard input methods, and turn on Yabomish.
Switch to Yabomish, tap simple letter codes for sounds, and pick your character from the helpful suggestion window that follows your cursor or stays fixed.
Open the settings window to choose how the suggestion window looks, like fixed position or font size, for a perfect fit.
Enjoy super-fast Chinese typing as it learns your favorites, shows code hints, and even lets you look up by sounds.
